Wedding photographer in Warsaw: natural storytelling from getting ready to the last dance
As your wedding photographer in Warsaw, I don't direct your day. I photograph real emotions and moments from getting ready to the last dance, and when you need help with portraits or group photos, I guide you. You receive your finished gallery by the date written into our contract. Sessions run in English or Polish.

Wedding video
You can add video to any package:
You book everything in one place, and I coordinate with the videographer, so you don't have to manage two separate teams.
Seven things you can count on
What you get in every package:
- 1
Storytelling, not theatre. During the day itself I try not to interfere. I don't pose you for every shot. I catch real reactions, gestures and moments that nobody can plan.
- 2
Help with posed shots. If you want a short session just for the two of you or a photo of a bigger group, I'll show you where to stand and what to do so it all looks natural. Before the wedding we can go through your inspirations together.
- 3
Your gallery within 5 days. This applies to every package, and we put it in the contract.
- 4
Travel within Warsaw included. For weddings outside the city I quote travel upfront, before we sign the contract, with no hidden extras.
- 5
A backup plan if something unexpected happens. Three photographer friends with a similar style are ready in case of sudden illness. So far I've needed this once.
- 6
Great photos after dark too. A dark venue, coloured lights and fast movement are not a problem. After sunset I deliberately mix flash with ambient light, so dance floor shots stay sharp and full of energy while the venue keeps its atmosphere.
- 7
Quick replies. I usually answer within a few hours, at the latest on the next business day.

About me
I'm Tomek Bort, a wedding photographer
Since 2018 I've been photographing weddings and private events in Warsaw and the surrounding area. In that time I've photographed more than one hundred and forty weddings, from intimate ceremonies at the registry office to all-day receptions for two hundred guests.
I'm not the kind of photographer who takes over your day and turns it into a photoshoot. For most of the ceremony and reception, I simply observe. When it's needed, I give a hint, arrange a group for a photo or find better light. When it's not, I let things happen on their own.
On your wedding day we'll spend anywhere from a few hours to more than ten together, so what matters is not only the style of the photos but also how you feel around the person behind the camera. I'm calm, I don't push anyone into poses and I don't make a fuss when something doesn't go to plan. That's usually when the best photos happen.
What working with me looks like
I always start with a conversation about how you want to look in your photos. Some couples like lots of guided shots, others prefer the camera to be almost invisible. I ask you directly how much you want guided photos and how much pure documentary coverage and spontaneous moments.
Step by step
- 01
First contact. You email or call me. In my reply I check straight away whether your date is free.
- 02
Talking through the details. We meet in person, on a video call or by email. We choose a package, go through the timeline and sign the contract.
- 03
A week before the wedding. I get in touch and we check the final details: times and locations.
- 04
The wedding day. I arrive early, check the light and plan the first frames, then photograph the ceremony, the couple session and the reception.
- 05
Editing and gallery. I pick the best shots, edit them in my style and upload them to a private online gallery. You download them in full resolution.
Where to do a wedding photoshoot in Warsaw
If you want elegant, classic frames, choose Łazienki Park or the area around Wilanów: greenery, a palace backdrop and plenty of space for full-length shots. If you prefer an urban, documentary feel, Powiśle, the Old Town and the Vistula boulevards work better, with bridges and concrete in the background instead of flowers.
Sometimes a couple wants something completely different. Then we head out of the city to a forest, a lake or an old factory. We can do a great session in any season.
A session after the wedding day has one big advantage: with no timeline pressure, we can choose the best light and location and take the photos calmly.
What couples who trusted me say
We were worried about rain on our wedding day, and instead of panicking, Tomek immediately suggested a plan B for the couple session under a roof. The photos turned out even more interesting than we had dreamed. A year has passed and we still go back to the gallery and find new favourite shots.
We were looking for someone who wouldn't give us typical posed wedding shots. We found exactly that. Tomek feels the moment and sees things others don't. After the wedding he kept us updated on the editing, and we got the gallery by the date in the contract.
We had a civil ceremony at the registry office in Wilanów. Tomek suggested where to do the photos after the ceremony. We went to Wilanów Palace and it looked like a big outdoor session, even though it took less than thirty minutes.
At the reception I also take care of group photos
During the reception you don't need to keep track of the group photo list. I take care of it. I arrange the family quickly and make sure nobody important is left out, while you focus on your guests and the party.
I also photograph intimate civil weddings
If you're planning a shorter ceremony at the registry office, it works in a similar way. I arrive early, take photos during the ceremony, then a short family session and a mini couple session outside the registry office or in a nearby park. The Wedding Palace on Krasińskich Square, the Wilanów registry office, the Bemowo registry office: each location gives a different backdrop.
What fine art wedding photography means to me
For me, fine art wedding photography in Warsaw begins where a photo stops being just a pretty frame and starts living a life of its own, even years later.
I work with light, composition and emotion. I love the moments between the official parts of the day, because that's where the most truth happens. A grandmother's look at the bride, a father squeezing his daughter's hand just before walking into the church. Those are frames you can't plan.
Frequently asked questions
Do you also photograph engagement sessions in Warsaw?
Yes. I also photograph engagement and proposal sessions. It's a good way to get comfortable in front of the camera before the wedding, with no guests and no pressure.
How long does editing take?
You receive your finished gallery within 5 days, whichever package you choose. We put the date in the contract, and I keep you updated on progress.
Who chooses the photos for editing?
I make the selection myself, so the gallery tells the full story of the day without repeats or technically failed shots. If specific photos or people matter to you, we agree on that before the wedding.
What if the weather ruins the couple session?
I have a plan B: historic or modern interiors. Rain outdoors isn't always a problem either. Sometimes it adds atmosphere.
Can I see a full gallery from a previous wedding?
Full galleries are private and belong to the couples. I can show selected photos with the consent of previous clients.
How to book your date in 3 steps
If you've already set your wedding date, it's worth checking availability early. The most popular Saturdays in the season get booked well in advance, because couples usually book the photographer right after the venue and the date. Just send me the date and the venue: I'll check availability and suggest which package fits your plan for the day.
- 01
Choose a package. Click the enquiry button on the package you like, or tell me which one interests you.
- 02
Fill in a few details. Your name and the planned wedding date are enough for me to check availability.
- 03
Choose how we talk. Email, phone or a 15-minute video call at a time that suits you.
Already have a wedding date? Let's check if it's free.
Tell me when and where you're getting married. I'll reply with my availability and help you choose a package that fits your day.
