Travel Photoshoot in Warsaw: go home with real photos, not just selfies

You're in Warsaw for a few days and you'd love photos that actually have you in them. Not an arm's-length selfie, not a stranger's shot with your head cut off. We walk you through the Old Town, Łazienki Park and around the Palace of Culture, and all you have to do is enjoy the sightseeing.

Since 2018 we've done more than 600 shoots and collected 202 Google reviews with a 4.9 average. We speak English and Polish, and enough Chinese to get by.

Two options: your own clothes or traditional Polish costume

Most visitors go for a relaxed walk in their own clothes. We take natural, candid shots by the landmarks, down quiet side streets and in the park, with no stiff posing.

Or dress up in a traditional Polish folk costume or a nobleman's outfit. That's not a shot you'll get with a selfie stick, and against the Old Town it looks like a still from a period drama.

Tourists in traditional Polish folk costumes in Warsaw Old Town

The costumes come from a Warsaw theatre costume workshop that has been running since 1993 and holds more than 3,000 pieces. Sizes range from toddlers to adults up to 2 metres (6'7") tall, so the whole family can dress up.

  • Kraków costume with red coral beads and a peacock-feather hat
  • Highlander (Górale) costume with an embroidered bodice and sheepskin vest
  • Łowicz costume in bold, colourful stripes
  • Opoczno and Nowy Sącz costumes if you'd like something less familiar
  • Polish nobleman's outfit with a kontusz robe and sash, perfect at the Royal Castle and the Barbican

Costume rental per person: kids €10–€15, teens from €15, adults €15–€35. A basic wig is included and there's no deposit. You book it all with us in one form, and we agree the style and size before the shoot.

Costume shoots run Thursday to Tuesday, as the workshop is closed on Wednesdays.

Six Warsaw photo spots we love most

Photoshoot at Castle Square by the Royal Castle in Warsaw

Castle Square

Sigismund's Column and the brick façade of the Royal Castle. Early in the morning, before the tour buses roll in, we have the square almost to ourselves and the light falls straight onto the castle.

Photos at the Old Town Market Square in Warsaw

Old Town Market Square

Colourful townhouses rebuilt after the war from old paintings and photographs. We get there before 9am, while the cafés are still putting out their umbrellas.

Photoshoot at the Barbican and city walls in Warsaw

Barbican and City Walls

16th-century brick towers make a warm backdrop for intimate shots. It's our favourite spot for the nobleman's outfit.

Photoshoot in front of the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw

Palace of Culture and Science

A 237-metre Socialist Realist tower. We shoot it from Parade Square, usually at dusk when the building lights up.

Surprise proposal in Royal Łazienki Park, Warsaw

Royal Łazienki Park

The Palace on the Isle reflected in the water, and peacocks strolling the paths without a care. It's also where we photograph surprise proposals.

Photoshoot in the Krasiński Palace garden, Warsaw

Krasiński Palace

A Baroque façade and garden a few minutes' walk from the Old Town. It's usually much quieter, so you can move freely and take your time with every shot.

How the shoot works

People sometimes ask how a vacation photographer in Warsaw is different from a regular outdoor shoot. Short answer: we plan around your trip, not the other way round.

  1. Send us your travel dates, how many of you there are and which option you'd like. We usually reply within a few hours.
  2. We agree on the route and time of day. A 30% deposit, by card or BLIK, secures your date.
  3. Want makeup? Dominika comes to your hotel or apartment before the shoot.
  4. We meet at the agreed spot. We show you shots on the camera as we go, so you can see the results right away.
  5. Within 5 days you get a private online gallery link. Leaving sooner? 24-hour express editing is €45.

Rain, kids and short stays

A travel photoshoot in Warsaw works best on day one or two of your trip. If the weather turns, there's still time to reschedule.

If it rains, we move your shoot for free or head to our studio in Praga at no extra cost. With kids, we go at their pace and take breaks whenever needed.

What our guests say

My husband hates having his photo taken. Seriously, he ran from the photographer at our own wedding. But an hour in, he was the one pointing out where to stand by the city walls. I was honestly a bit shocked. Halfway through, our little boy burst into tears because he wanted ice cream, so we took a break, and the ice cream made it into the photos too. They're on our fridge in Utrecht now.

Mireille Achterberg, Netherlands

I was in Warsaw on business with one free afternoon. I wanted a gift for my mother, who was born in Poland and left in 1981. I sent her a photo from the Barbican. She called me and was silent for a long time. Then she told me she went to school two streets away. I never knew.

Haruki Nishimoto, Japan

ok honestly i booked this the night before haha. i was travelling solo and so done with arm's-length selfies. i laughed most of the time, Tomek knew the café with the best cheesecake in town so we got a few shots there too. my friends in Johannesburg keep asking if i hired a modelling agency lol
