I don't believe everyone has to look confident. I don't believe a good portrait needs a perfect figure. I don't believe you need to know how to pose.

I don't change facial features, smooth away wrinkles or slim down bodies. If you're after a filter-style edit, I'm not the right photographer, and I say that upfront so neither of us wastes any time.
I make portraits that look like a frame from a good documentary, not an ID photo or a fashion shoot. Natural light or flash, matched to the person's character. A neutral background or an urban space that says something about you. No artificial sets and no props for the sake of props.
A portrait should answer one question: who is this person? Not how they look in their best clothes. Who they are. That's why before the shoot we talk about your job, how people at work see you and how you'd like to be seen. It's a conversation, not a questionnaire. It takes about fifteen minutes and changes the whole shoot.
Over the years I've noticed that people only show who they are after a few minutes. Not when I ask them to smile. Not when I set up a pose. Only when they stop controlling every glance. I wait for that moment, and that's when I press the shutter.

Pre-shoot consultation
A short call or chat on a messaging app. We agree on the location, the style and what to bring. I'll tell you which outfits work well on camera and what to avoid.
A warm-up without the camera
The first ten to fifteen minutes are just a normal conversation. The camera comes out when you're ready, not before. Most people relax faster than they expect.
Posing, step by step
I show you every pose and explain what to adjust. Shoulders, hands, where to look. You don't need to know anything about posing.
Outfit and location changes
Two to three outfits in the one-hour package, up to six in the two-hour one. Each outfit brings a different mood and a different feel to the shots.
Gallery and selection
Unedited shots in a private gallery within 24 hours. You pick the photos for editing, and the retouched set comes back in 5 days in every package.

For outdoor shoots I work across the whole city and the surrounding area. I know the spots where the best natural light falls at a given time of day and year, so we don't waste time hunting for a frame.

What if I don't know how to pose?
Most of my clients say exactly that at the start. I show you every pose and explain what to change in your shoulders, hands and gaze. After about fifteen minutes you usually forget the camera is even there, and that's when the best shots happen.
How far ahead do I need to book?
For a short shoot the wait is usually three to seven days, and sometimes I can fit you in the next day. Longer projects are worth planning two weeks ahead, especially in spring and summer.
What's the difference between a studio and an outdoor shoot?
The studio gives full control over the light whatever the weather. Outdoors gives you varied backgrounds and natural light. In the higher packages you can combine both in one shoot.
What should I bring?
Two to three outfits for a one-hour shoot: an everyday look, a smart-casual look and a dressier option. Avoid big logos and clothes that feel tight. After you book, I send a short guide tailored to your goal.
Are the photos kept private?
Your gallery goes onto a private drive with a password only the two of us know. I never publish photos without written consent, and saying no is never a condition of booking.
Can you come to my office?
Yes, I shoot anywhere in Warsaw with no travel fee. Send me the exact place and we'll check whether it works in terms of light and logistics.
