  • Up to 200 photos from the shoot ?An hour gives around 200 shots. Within 24 hours you get a private selection gallery with every unedited frame.

Dating app photo comparison: amateur selfie versus a professional Warsaw photoshoot
What makes a dating shoot different from a portrait shoot

The 5-Frame Method

A dating app profile photoshoot in Warsaw is not the same as a portrait session. A good portrait works as a single image. A dating profile is a set of four to six photos that together show who you are. The 5-Frame Method gives you five different situations to build that set from: four core frames plus one optional. A varied set gives whoever's looking at your profile more reasons to stop and keep swiping through your photos.

01
Main
A face shot with eye contact, soft side light and a neutral or urban background. This photo has the biggest influence on that first right swipe.
02
Full body
Taken from 3 to 4 metres away, showing your build, posture and style. At least one photo shows you head to toe, which most profiles are missing.
03
Context
A photo in a natural setting: a café, a park, the street, the outdoors. It shows how you look day to day, not just in front of the lens.
04
Activity
A shot of you doing something, or with a prop that says something about you. It doesn't have to be sport. It can be coffee, a book, a bike or an instrument.
05
Night or evening
Optional, but effective. Neon in central Warsaw or the warm light of a bar. This frame sets your profile apart from dozens of similar park shots.

That's 5 frames from five different situations, not 5 variations of the same pose against a wall.

Why a dating app shoot is its own specialty

Dating app photographer since 2018, over 300 shoots

As a Tinder photographer in Warsaw, I've done more than 300 shoots made purely for dating apps since 2018. I started specialising when I saw that a standard portrait shoot doesn't give you a set that actually works on a profile.

I changed my approach once I started comparing results. Clients who uploaded a varied set following the scheme above usually got more matches than those with five nice portraits from one location.

That's why my dating app photoshoot is a separate offer, with its own plan for the shoot, its own location route and a different approach to selecting photos at the editing stage.

I work with natural and continuous light, no flash. Outdoors, that gives the most natural result.
I guide you through every pose: I show you reference ideas on the spot, explain each pose and make sure the shots come out natural. It's about genuine reactions, not forced gestures for the camera.
The retouching is light: colour balance, skin and temporary blemishes. I don't change your features and I don't erase every wrinkle. A dating app ends with meeting in person.
When selecting photos I look at the set as a whole, not individual shots. I check the profile has a main photo, a full-body shot, context and an activity.
Optional extra: help from a stylist if you want to refresh your wardrobe before the shoot. We arrange this individually.
How the shoot works, step by step

Step by step

1

Consultation before the shoot

We message or talk for 15 minutes. We agree on the style, the locations and what to bring. I advise what to wear for each outfit so everything looks consistent in the photos.

2

Warm-up without the camera

The first 10 minutes are just a chat. After about a quarter of an hour, most people stop thinking about being on a shoot.

3

Shooting across several locations

The centre, Powiśle, Praga or Wola. We change the setting so the set feels varied rather than repetitive.

4

Outfit changes

2–3 outfits in the basic package, 4–6 in the extended one. Each outfit gives the photos a different mood.

5

Selection and editing

A selection gallery of unedited frames within 24 hours of the shoot. You choose which photos get edited, and I advise what works on each app. The finished photos come back to you within 5 days.

Who this shoot is for

You don't need to know how to pose

You don't need experience in front of the camera or a profile that already works. Most clients come precisely to build one from scratch. I hear from men who:

Are setting up a dating profile for the first time and want to start with good material.

Already have a profile but get few matches and suspect the photos are the problem.

Are back on the apps after a long relationship and want something better than old selfies.

Have simply never had a good set of photos and decided it's time to change that.

If you'd rather have photos for LinkedIn, a company website or Instagram as a content creator, take a look at my portrait photoshoot page. Here I focus solely on dating apps.

What clients say

One meeting. Photos that last.

"I'd been on Tinder for two years and the whole time I got maybe one match a week. After the shoot I uploaded the new photos and had eight in the first week. Tomek told me before the shoot that it's about variety across the photos, not just the quality of one. He was right, and I'd had no idea."

Rafał Kucharski data analyst, 34

"I wanted something better than phone pics a friend took of me against a wall. I didn't expect the shoot to be so focused: a location plan, what to wear, how to stand. No waffle. I noticed the difference on Bumble straight away. First match the same evening I uploaded the photos."

Damian Orłowski aircraft maintenance technician, 31

Ready for a better profile?

One meeting is enough to get photos that keep working for a long time.

Frequently asked questions

Got questions?

Are the photos only good for Tinder?

No. They work just as well on Hinge, Bumble, Badoo and any other app. Some clients also use them on Instagram as everyday photos.

Are you discreet?

Yes. I never publish photos from a shoot without the client's written consent. Some clients agree to let me use their photos in my portfolio, but it's never a condition of booking.

How far ahead do I need to book?

Usually 1–2 weeks. It's worth getting in touch early, especially in spring and summer.

Do you only do dating app shoots in Warsaw?

Mostly, yes. I shoot outdoors in the centre, Powiśle, Praga and Wola. Travelling outside Warsaw is possible, but I quote it individually.
