Why outdoor photos look natural
Outdoors, nothing looks the same twice. The light shifts by the minute, the wind catches your hair, and Warsaw becomes a real backdrop rather than a set. That's why every photo turns out different.
It's easier to be yourself in open space. A walk loosens you up, gestures and laughter come naturally, and the photos remind you of a real day rather than a staged scene.

Outdoors is my specialty
Since 2018, most of my work has been outdoors. I've photographed hundreds of people in parks, by the Vistula, on Warsaw's streets, in forests and meadows, so I know how to use the light in almost any conditions.
I come to every shoot with a plan for the place, the route and the light, so we don't waste time hunting for a frame. After hundreds of shoots, I also know when particular spots in the city are almost empty.
How the shoot works, step by step
I get to know you first, and only then choose the place, the time, the light and the way I'll photograph you. It goes like this:
- A chat before the shoot about what the photos are for, the mood you want and anything you're worried about.
- Choosing the location and the time of day to suit the light.
- A walk that helps you relax.
- Quick cues on what to do with your hands and where to look.
- Picking your favourites from the online gallery.
- Hand-editing the chosen shots.
With children, I don't fight over posing. Bubbles, a blanket and a bit of play do the job.
Light and weather
Light often matters more than location. I usually book golden hour, about an hour and a half before sunset, because the light is warm and soft. An overcast sky often gives more flattering portraits than full sun, because the clouds soften shadows and even out the light on your face.
Rain doesn't have to mean cancelling. We wait for a break in the weather, take a few shots under cover, or move the date at no extra cost. Picking the time and reacting to the weather is my job, not your worry.

I have a list of tried-and-tested spots, but I'm happy to go wherever your story is. These are the places I shoot most often:

Plans don't always survive the weather, but that usually works in the photos' favour. One shoot was meant to happen in a park, it started raining, so we sheltered under a bridge, and that's where the couple's favourite shots were taken.
How I choose the location
I don't pick places because they're trendy. I get to know you first, then match the location to your personality, your clothes, the season and the light. The place should suit you, not the other way round.
If you don't have an idea, here's where I'd point you:
- you love nature: Kampinos or the Vistula riverbank
- you prefer modern architecture: Rondo Daszyńskiego and Wola
- you want something romantic: the Vistula at sunset or orchards in blossom
- you like a raw, industrial feel: Praga and its old factory halls
If you prefer, I'll put together three to five suggestions based on the mood, season, light, number of people and how easy they are to reach.
Before we meet
The shoot starts long before I pick up the camera. Before we head out, we sort out the details together:
- a short phone call about what you're looking for
- help choosing what to wear
- location ideas to match your style
- tips on makeup and hair
- a start time planned around the best light
That way, on the day we simply go and take photos, with no stress and no surprises.
How to prepare
It's normal to feel nervous before your first shoot. Most of my clients have never stood in front of a camera before. A few things make it easier:
- Clothes in a calm, consistent palette, without big logos or lettering.
- Outfits that suit the place: muted colours for nature, bolder textures for Praga.
- Comfortable shoes, as the walk usually lasts up to two hours.
- Some spare time for getting there, so you don't start in a rush.
- Let me know what the photos are for: print, the web or a professional profile.
If you don't know how to pose
Most of my clients tell me before the shoot that they can't pose. That's completely normal and not a problem at all. I won't leave you alone in front of the camera.
I guide you through the whole shoot and tell you plainly where to stand, what to do with your hands and when to look into the lens. Most of the best shots happen when you forget someone is photographing you.
What you get and how the editing works
An outdoor shoot lasts from one to four hours depending on the package, and covers anything from one to several locations.
Afterwards you get a private online gallery and pick your favourites. I edit each one by hand, matching colour and contrast to the daylight, but I never smooth faces into plastic. That's how I see outdoor photography: a consistent, natural set.
Retouched photos come back in 5 days with every package, in formats ready for print, the web and social media. I also photograph expecting mothers outdoors (maternity photoshoot).
Common worries and questions
My partner hates having their photo taken. That's common, which is why I shoot on the move and while we talk.
How many outfits can I bring? It depends on the length of the shoot: 2 to 3 for an hour, 4 to 6 for two hours, and no limit in the longest package. Often it's enough to swap a jacket for a jumper or add sunglasses.
When exactly will I get my photos? The 5 days start once you've picked your frames for retouching in the gallery. If you're short on time, you can pay extra for express editing within 24 hours.
Will anyone else see my photos? No. Only you can open your private online gallery, and I don't publish anything without your consent.
Can we choose our own location? Yes, I'm happy to go wherever your story is. If you don't have an idea, I'll put together three to five suggestions to match the mood, the light and how easy they are to reach.
