Hi, I'm Tomek.
My name is Tomek Bort, and I run the TomProPhoto brand in Warsaw. I photograph people around the city, and in the studio I prefer a calm conversation over coffee with music in the background.
Warsaw · since 2018A good photo is a matter of atmosphere, not the pose.

It started with a Nikon D90
As a teenager I'd walk around Warsaw in the evenings with a DSLR. What pulled me most was the city after dark — the streetlights, the neon signs, the wet asphalt reflecting headlights.
Then came the people. First friends, then the first paid jobs in 2018 — portrait sessions, women's sessions, branding photos and dating-profile shots. Since 2020 it's been a full-time profession. I also photograph weddings and christenings, though portraiture is what excites me most. Today I have more than 600 completed sessions behind me.
People who don't know how to pose
On sessions I notice a recurring pattern. A person walks into the studio tense, with a ready-made excuse: "but I really don't know how to pose." Sometimes it's a mom with two kids, sometimes a man who needs a photo for LinkedIn, sometimes a couple before their wedding.
After half an hour of calm conversation and the first few shots, something breaks the ice. They start to trust me and stop watching themselves. They become themselves.
That's the moment I still do this for. It's not about beautiful frames, because those come on their own if I take care of the atmosphere first. It's about someone looking at their photos after the session and saying "that's actually me, just from a better side than I see in the mirror."
I show shots as we go
During the session you see the photos on the camera preview right after they're taken. You know how you're coming out in real time and can react to what you like.
Privacy is a priority
I respect your privacy and don't publish photos without talking it over first. If you prefer full discretion — just tell me, and it stays between us.
A few things that speak for themselves
Studio and outdoors
I work in three proven studios across Warsaw. Each has a different character, and we choose them together depending on the mood we want to achieve.
I also love the outdoors. Łazienki Royal Park at dawn can look like a completely different park than the one tourists see during the day, with light falling at an angle between the trees and almost no people. The neon signs and boulevards at night work too, as do the murals of Praga and the Old Town before the cafés open.
Sometimes we get in the car and drive out of the city, if the session calls for it.

The best sensual sessions and most of the wedding, christening, and private family reports with small children.
These photos belong to the people in them, and only they decide whether they appear anywhere. In the portfolio you'll see only the frames I've been given explicit consent for. The rest stays with their owners forever, no matter how much I'd like to show off a shot.
If you're reading this to the end
It means something here resonated. The best sessions start with a short conversation, not a booking form.
